Licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri state courts and in the federal courts, Steve earned the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2009 from the University of Kansas School of Law. Steve is a 2006 honors graduate in History from Kansas State University, where he served as president of the Pre-Law Society and was named to Phi Beta Kappa.

Professional memberships: Steve is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Johnson County Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Kansas City Estate Planning Society.
